The “adaptableness” of God's truth is no longer confined to just one culture (Israel), it now adapts into all cultures. And, as it naturally pushes us to go to and love others who are different from us, the Bible requires us to enter and adapt the gospel into their cultural context rather than demand they take ours(Acts15,Gal. 2:12,Eph.3:6 etc.). What we seek to let go of is not content but the “insider” languages of Christian sub-cultures. The Bible itself calls the church to use the language of the unchurched, “outsider,” even as we worship(1Cor14:23,24). We will adapt every ministry to our surrounding non-Christian culture. Just as our missionary God left his heavenly culture to adapt into our culture and language, we will strive to use the languages, styles, questions and objections of our surrounding community in all that we do.
