Upcoming Events

Binnington Meat Loaf Party: The Binnington's will be hosting a Meatloaf Cook-off on Saturday, February 6th at 5:00PM.  Pastor Rusty and Pastor JR will be judging.  Bring your meatloaf and a side dish. Childcare will not be available so plan your babysitting accordingly.  This would be a great activity to invite friends to.

Worship Team: Intersested in joining the worship team?  Our main need right now is for vocalists (male or female).  Commitment is very flexible, one Sunday a month (more if desired) and monthly or bi-monthly rehearsals.  Those interested can contact JR Harris

(416-0480) or Jenny Gaona (416-1080).

Introduction To Redeemer Seminar: The Mosleys will be hosting a Friday night Seminar on March 5th to introduce anyone interested to know more about our church’s mission, goals, and emphases. In order to get the whole seminar in one evening without a Saturday session we will just try to squeeze it in from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on Friday night. Call Rusty for more information at 977-6474. There will be no commitment required in order to attend this seminar; it is informational only.

Skating for Channel kids: We are trying to put together an event for the Channel age kids (3rd through 6th grade). We are thinking about ice skating outside at Steinberg Rink in Forest Park, with a backup plan of inside at the Ice Sports Complex in Fairview Heights, based on weather. We are planning on Friday February 19th. Invite all the friends you can for more fun! For your questions call Melanie Moritz at ph. #628-8494.

"The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective. Unless a man starts on the strange assumption that he has never existed before, it is quite certain that he will never exist afterwards. Unless a man be born again, he shall by no means enter into the Kingdom of Heaven."
G. K. Chesterton, "January One" from Lunacy and Letters

Community Groups

What are community groups?  A weekly group for adults to share real stuff with a trusted few, to look at Scripture for guidance, and to pray for and support each other.  We do this because we believe that while it has it's challenges, life was not meant to be lived alone but in the nurturing soil of community.  Groups meet throughout the week and provide their own child care.  Please call Pastor Rusty at 977-6474 for more information.
